The University’s annual games are one of the most exciting events of the year, attracting a large number of students. Pushing oneselfto the limit physically also boosts students’ academic commitment and perseverance. Sporting students develop an ability to balance their academic and other commitments, like training for competitions, plus teamwork and decision-making. Even involvement in the non-physical side of sport – from volunteering to coaching – provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills.
