The 2018 Chinese & Russian University Students Cultural Exchange Camp at Xiamen University concluded on July 25.
Major events at the 10-day camp included a Chinese tea ceremony, an orienteering competition, a knowledge contest on China and Russia, academic lectures, a papercutting taster, a tour of Gulangyu Island, traditional Chinese music and calligraphy taster sessions, and a Chinese and Russian food tasting event.
The Chinese tea ceremony was staged by CFLC Russian majors for Russian guests. The orienteering competition enhanced the friendship between the Chinese and Russian students. The Chinese and Russian food tasting event allowed the Chinese and Russian students to appreciate each other’s culture more.
At the closing ceremony of the camp, Prof. Gu Hongfei, presented certificates of merit to 15 students from the University of Moscow in recognition of their outstanding performance at the camp. After that, Chinese and Russian students jointly staged a cultural show that include poems, songs and dances, as well as a skit that drew laughter and applause from the audience.
